Color Management Professional® Certification Training 

The CMP certification program begins with an extensive course on the fundamentals of color management where certification as a Color Management Professional (CMP) can be achieved. Additional courses in many specialty areas within the graphic communication and production environments are also available. Each course contains both training and certification exam. Exam must be passed with a minimum score of 80% to qualify as a CMP.

The CMP training series includes:

CMP Fundamentals 
CMP Fundamentals offers the latest in color theory and applications in color, providing a strong educational foundation for color managing a graphics workflow. 

CMP Creative    
Through a series of short, interactive and informative lessons, CMP Creative examines issues critical to the process of ensuring content output meets the intended design and corporate brand objectives

CMP Digital Print   
CMP Digital Print is designed for operators of digital press equipment, and is an easy-to-understand instructional guide to color management principles in the digital pressroom.  

CMP Offset Print    
CMP Offset is designed for operators of conventional press equipment and is an easy-to-understand instructional guide to color management principles in the pressroom. 

CMP Premedia  
CMP Premedia is focused on strategies to control color for premedia and prepress departments responsible for reproducing files for output.                 

CMP Sales        
CMP Sales course assists the print and premedia account executive in managing customer’s color expectations and assuring integrity to their client’s brand image across multiple jobs and devices, without overloading on the technical details.

CMP Masters  
The CMP Master offers access to four courses; CMP Fundamentals, CMP Premedia, CMP Digital Print, and CMP Offset Print. To be recognized as a CMP Master requires the passing of CMP Fundamentals, CMP Premedia, and ONE of the following courses:  CMP Digital Print or CMP Offset Print.

Certification Information

• Passing exam with 80% proficiency qualifies the user for professional certification and inclusion in the Idealliance database of certified experts.
• Certificates are automatically generated and distributed via email upon successful completion of the course.
• Upon successful completion you will be certified for 2 years.
• To maintain certification, successful completion of re-certification training  is required every two (2) years.
