In our increasingly competitive, complex industry, success is not based on company size, type, ownership structure, or equipment configuration. It’s based on being best at the nine steps essential to creating a sustainable competitive advantage.

Idealliance Chief Economist Andy Paparozzi will explain each step and the role it plays in a company’s competitive ability, and discuss ways to:

  • Build your employer brand
  • Use a capital investment best practices checklist
  • Communicate change effectively.
The one-hour webinar, based on the Spring 2018 State of the Industry Update, will also look at our industry’s latest performance and prospects and provide time for attendees’ questions.

The webinar and the Idealliance State of the Industry Series, on which it is based, are sponsored by Canon USA.

The State of the Industry Report and subsequent State of the Industry Updates provide actionable information on economic and industry trends, giving company leaders knowledgeable insights they can use for successful strategic planning.

Actionable Industry Research

The State of the Industry Series is produced by the Idealliance Institute for Strategic Research, under the supervision of Idealliance Chief Economist Andy Paparozzi. The institute provides timely, accurate analysis of the visual communications industry’s performance and prospects. Among the reports issued by the Institute for Strategic Research are the Idealliance Capital Investment Report and the Idealliance Mailing Industry Report.

Regular surveys of the industry are an important part of the Institute’s research. To maximize the validity of its surveys, it builds panels of participants and long-term relationships with members of those panels to encourage in-depth, candid discussion of business issues, strategies, successes, and failures.

Andy Paparozzi joined NAPL, Idealliance’s predecessor, in 1984, following positions with the New School for Social Research in New York City and the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority system. A Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude graduate of Boston College with a bachelor's degree in economics, he also holds a master's degree in economics, with a concentration in econometrics, from Columbia University. He has spoken at every major industry event and has also taught mathematics, statistics, and economics at several colleges.
