REALITY CHECK! Brands, Color Tolerances, and Machine Capability

Friday, April 19, 2019

2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time)

Brands need and demand their colors to be correct. Many high-end brands have color tolerances that are extremely tight and industry trends show these tolerances getting tighter. Many printers have difficulty achieving these tight brand tolerances, and many say they are not even possible. In this webinar we take a look at what are considered tight tolerances, and compare these to average machine capabilities. It is said, good color costs more, but how much more? What happens when hitting the brand standard is not even possible.

Topics include:

  • Examples of tight brand tolerances
  • How to determine machine capability
  • What happens when a tolerance is not achievable
  • Strategies for managing brand tolerances

Moderators:

  • Ron Ellis, Brand Expert and Chair of the Idealliance Print Properties & Colorimetric Council
  • Timothy Baechle, CEO, Idealliance

Panelists:

  • Pat Pagani, Director of Ops, Essentra
  • Jack Frank, Color Process Manager North America, Westrock-MPS

This webinar is part of the Idealliance BrandQ® webinar series. BrandQ is about communication, education, and validation.
